Product Description

- Filter enhancer
- Clear up cloudy or hazy pools
- Great to use with a stain remover to removal coper and iron

Tiny particles of suspended dirt, plaster dust, dead algae, pollen, etc. may pass right through the filter.  BioGuard Sparkle Up will trap these tiny particles in the filter and will rapidly restore sparkle to cloudy water.  This product contains no D.E or alum. It will not effect pH of pool water.

Sand Filters:

Cartridge:

8 cups of this product per each 100 square feet of filter area 

D.E. Filter:

1 part Sparkle Up to 2 parts D.E


Directions

Sand Filters:

  1. Backwash filter thoroughly
  2. Set filter to normal position
  3. Add this product according to usage directions using amounts specified in chart above
  4. Run filter continuously 
  5. Backwash your filter after 24 hours or sooner if the pressure gauge reaches the maximum pressure recommended by the filter manufacturer 
(After backwashing this product is removed from your filter. So you can repeat steps 1-5 if your pool is not clear. )

D.E. Filters:

  1. Thoroughly backwash filter 
  2. Set filter to normal filter position
  3. Prepare a mixture of 1 part this product and 2 parts D.E. in sufficient quantity to make up the normal filter charge.
  4. Mix the D.E. and this product together in water
  5. coat the filter with this mixture, as you normally would with D.E alone
  6. Operate as usual until a new charge is required

Cartridge:

  1. Remove and clean cartridges 
  2. Seat cartridges properly in the filter
  3. With pump running 
  4. Add 8 cups of this product per each 100 square feet of filter area
  5. Clean cartridges when pool clears or if filter pressure reaches manufactures recommended maximum 
  6. If your water is not clear repeat steps 1-5 if necessary
  7. use this product once a month to help maintain optimum water clarity 

Metal Removal:

  1. This product will also remove most iron and copper form swimming pool water
  2. To help remove metals from make-up water prior to their entering the pool add this product to the filter then add make-up water through the skimmer
  3. BioGuard Pool Magnet Plus used in conjunction with this product will assist in removing the final traces of metals and may help prevent staining of pool surfaces
