BioGuard Balance PAK 200 raises pH in pool water to improve swimmer comfort such as eye irritations and protects pool equipment from corrosion due to improper pH. Keeping your pools pH balanced also prevents corrosion, etching of plaster and wrinkling of liners, reduces scale build-up, and improves performance of other pool treatments such as any algaecides or stain treatments.
**one miss-conception people have is that eye irritation or red eyes comes from Chorine. While this sometimes may be the case more often than not most eye discomfort comes form unbalanced pH. If you are experiencing these issues check your pH and make sure its within 7.2 - 7.6 range. If pH is low check the chart blew and see how much Balance PAK 200 is required. If on the high side then go checkout BioGuard Lo 'n Slow to correct your pH. If your pH is in range then the next step for any eye irritation would be to check your total chlorine.
Product Dosage
Broadcast a maximum 1 lb per 10,000 into the deep end of the pool at a time. Allow water to recirculate two to three hours, recheck pH, and repeat treatment if necessary. Adding too much at one time may cause cloudiness.
